Her work is simple, reduced and hit the sweet spot. What’s here story, why she joined biggest regional design community Geelancer find out in our new awesome interview:
Geelancer: You are one of the most sucesfull designers at Geelancer. When did you start with design? What is your story?
Jovana: I started with design in 2014. same year when I joined your design family. But, I knew I wanted to be a designer few years before that, when my friend showcased me her work on Shutterstock.
Geelancer: You joined Geelancer in 2014. What made you take that step?
Jovana: Geelancer, at that time GreenDesign (old name), was recommended to me by my dear (web) design profesor from Novi Sad (town in Serbia), who is also your member. Since than half a year has passed until I decided to give it a try. And I have applied on one of the design contests. I remember, its was logo design contest for company “Razlivalište”.
Geelancer: You are mostly into logo design. What logo are you most proud of? Ever?
Jovana: For this couple of years I am in design I have created many designs. And I mean a lot! So, its really hard to choose the best one. But if I have to, then it should be work for design contest “Ukusi Vojvodine” (translated: Tastes of Vojvodina), the gastronomy festival in Serbia. Even if my logo didn’t win, I love it very much. I think my idea was fully in sync with the design contest brief and generally idea of the client. 
Geelancer: Which design contest was your biggest challenge? And which one was your favorite?
Jovana: Biggest challenge for me was my first design contest I have applied on. It was for, mentioned above, company “Razlivalište”. Because, at that time I haven’t had any design experiance. On the other side, my favorite design contest, for sure, was for humanitarian organization “Refugee Aid Serbia” which was published with help of Geelancer. My logo was the winning one, and I was just so happy! I was fulfilled with joy because of fact that I have contributed somehow to branding of that organization and helped people at Refugee Aid Serbia.
Geelancer: Why do you enter design contests? We know there are desigenrs who think this kind of getting design is not fair, but we, along with more than 12.000 designers on our platform, strongly disagree. What do you think about our design marketplace? About clients who uses our services?
Jovana: I enter design contests mostly because I love what I do. I don’t think at it as a job, in that literal meaning. My biggest satisfaction is when people recognise my unique design “signature”. As for me, design contests are totally fair, for every designer. You give your best to provide client with best possible design, according to brief. Sometimes client doesn’t know what he wants, but because of that you try to give him more possible ideas and solutions to his design problem. I think that creating design contests on Geelancer is the best possible option for client. Because he will have more options to choose from. And that is also fair.
Geelancer: What would you say to your fellow Geelancers?
Jovana: To all my colegues Geelancers I would like to say that thay need to read the brief with upmost attention. Some of them don’t read it, or dont understand it, so thay miss the point. And, also, give your best. No matter what. That way you get better, every time.
